St. Luke’s International University is the merger of two premier institutions - St. Luke’s International Hospital and St. Luke’s College of Nursing. St. Luke’s International Hospital was founded in 1902 by Dr. Rudolph Teusler, and has been the leading private hospital in Japan renowned for its commitment to upholding a high standard of patient care. St. Luke’s College of Nursing, founded in 1920, was the first graduate school of nursing in Japan and has produced many leaders in the field. St. Luke’s International University Simulation Center, opened in 2016, is a shared resource for advancing clinical education and improving quality of health care.
View moreSt. Luke’s International University Simulation Center aims to improve quality of health care by supporting access to comprehensive clinical training environments for the purposes of practical and innovative education, research, and development. The 1,000 square meter facility consists of a combination of learning spaces. The ‘Hospital Lab’ includes high-fidelity recreations of outpatient, inpatient, intensive care, and operating room environments. The ‘Learning Lab’ is an open configurable space allowing for blending of traditional classroom learning and hands-on activities. A shared lounge with debriefing areas provide a safe and open learning environment for our users.
